During the second week of July 2025, powerful street evangelism efforts unfolded across several countries in Central America and Caribbean (CAC) region. Led by the Holy Spirit and rooted in faith, leaders in the Dominican Republic, Belize, and Nicaragua took to the streets with creativity, courage, and compassion—sowing seeds of the gospel in hearts hungry for hope.

On July 15, the leaders of the Dominican Republic OA carried out campus evangelism at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), reaching out to students with passion and purpose. They prepared a special box filled with Bible verses and personalized tracts, allowing students to draw a word that would speak directly to their hearts. This simple yet thoughtful approach attracted many curious hearts—some confessed that the verse they received was “exactly what I needed right now.” In various spots, small groups formed organically, creating opportunities to share the love of God with several students at once. Despite a few closed hearts, God’s grace was evident, and the leaders remained faithful and patient. As a result, approximately 20 students expressed interest in continuing with Bible studies, marking a meaningful harvest from this joyful and Spirit-led mission.

On July 14 in Belize’s capital, leader Jamie Santos responded obediently to God’s call and went out for personal evangelism. Without seeking platforms or applause, she walked the streets with a heart full of compassion and a message of transformation. Sensitive to the Spirit’s leading, Jamie approached individuals personally, offering free Bible studies to anyone desiring to know more about God. Her evangelism was intimate and loving—rooted in the belief that the Kingdom of God advances one person at a time. Her mission was clear: to meet people where they are, regardless of status or background, and to show them the redeeming love of Christ through words and presence. Jamie’s steps echoed the heart of Jesus: quiet, sincere, and filled with hope.

On July 12, in one of the public squares of Managua, Nicaragua, leader Francisca and a student stepped out in faith to share the gospel with those facing emotional or spiritual struggles. They centered their outreach around a relatable and heartfelt question: “How do you overcome gray days?” Using creative flyers that featured Psalm 34:18, Francisca explained how brokenness, emptiness, and discouragement often weigh down the human heart—but that restoration is found in Jesus Christ. The message was clear: only in Him can we find light in the midst of darkness and comfort in the midst of pain.

Their message resonated. Many people stopped to listen, moved by the idea that God was speaking to their situation. Some were emotional, others asked thoughtful questions, and several gratefully accepted the materials. One of the most encouraging outcomes was a young woman who expressed sincere interest in learning more about God and agreed to begin Bible studies—evidence that the Spirit had begun a new work in her heart.

Across all three nations, the theme was consistent: true evangelism begins with one soul at a time. These leaders didn’t rely on large crowds or grand events but embraced the power of personal, Spirit-led encounters. In each case, hearts were touched, seeds were planted, and faith was ignited.

Though not every encounter ended with a commitment, the gospel was faithfully shared, and God’s love was revealed. We thank the Lord for each step taken, each conversation had, and each life touched. We continue to pray for every person reached—that the Holy Spirit would remind them of the message they heard, soften their hearts, and draw them near to the One who gives eternal hope. May these humble acts of obedience bear eternal fruit in God’s perfect time.

The Christmas retreats in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Mexico City concluded with heartfelt gratitude to God for the birth of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. These gatherings celebrated the incarnation of Christ, a cornerstone of the Christian faith, commemorating the divine act of salvation and love.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

The Presbyterian Church of Santo Domingo marked the closing of its retreat with an emotional Christmas service. Pastor Madelind Martinez led the congregation in reflecting on the profound significance of Jesus’ birth, using Luke 2:8-14 and Philippians 2:5-8 as foundational texts. She emphasized the kenosis of Christ—His self-emptying humility and willingness to be born in a lowly manger for the sake of humanity.

Pastor Madelind reminded attendees of the true meaning of Christmas: honoring Jesus, who humbled Himself to bring salvation to a sinful world. The service culminated in the sharing of the Lord’s Supper, where believers reflected not only on Christ’s first coming but also on His sacrifice and awaited second coming.

Mexico City, Mexico

In Mexico City, Emanuel Church concluded its Christmas retreat with a vibrant service on December 25, led by Pastor Miriam Vázquez. Drawing from Philippians 2:5-11, Pastor Miriam exhorted the congregation to adopt the heart of Christ, who exemplified ultimate love and humility. She urged believers to recognize the incarnation as a divine act of confronting human sin and arrogance, encouraging them to live with the same humility and selflessness demonstrated by Jesus.

The congregation expressed profound gratitude for Christ’s birth and the salvation He brought, echoing the words of Luke 2:14: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

A Shared Spirit of Worship

Both services underscored the universal Christian message of Christmas: the incarnation of Jesus Christ as an act of divine love and humility. Through worship, reflection, and the sharing of the Lord’s Supper, believers in both regions celebrated the transformative gift of salvation, committing to live in gratitude and emulate the humility of their Savior.

Olivet Assembly Colombia has set its aim in strengthening its church network in 2024. Olivet Assembly active missions are currently located in various cities including Medellín, Barranquilla, Cali in addition to the cities of Bucaramanga, Santa Marta, Pasto, and Bogotá.

The leadership in Bogotá is anticipating that many new locals in these cities will commit to serve after finalizing their discipleship training and plans are to establish new seminary students among these locals. Once these students graduate, they could be eligible to become main pastors in the cities and this in return would strengthen the existing mission network.

In addition, since online outreach and evangelism is very active in this nation the Colombian Assembly reports that potential locals have been reached in several other cities. As a result, there is ongoing mission activities in at least 14 cities. The local leadership shares its excitement over this encouraging development – an outreach which has been steadily extending to different cities.

As the membership in each mission-active city increases, the Assembly encourages each local mission to continue to push until achieving official church status.

Immanuel Church in Bogotá, Colombia is holding a series of missiology classes to prepare training missionaries to study the biblical mission of the church, leading them to formulate the appropriate principles and methods to extend the church throughout the world. The aim of the church is to prepare missionaries in all the areas the required to make them fruitful in the mission field.

In this occasion Dr. Daniela Ortiz taught regarding anthropology.

“Why is anthropology necessary for missionaries? Let us understand that anthropology is the science that studies humanity, its present and past societies, as well as the various cultures and forms of organization and social interaction that it has created; therefore, the missionaries need to understand the social dynamics, to know how to enter to evangelize, in different cultures, and to know what characterizes them,” she shared.

The class led the missionaries to reflect on the importance of knowing the belief systems, behaviors, and cultural, ethical, and social values, through which a community is linked to the sacred and the transcendent. This way the missionaries will be able to reach many souls for Christ, bringing them the truth of the gospel, the truth that will set them free.

Prayers are requested for the missionaries, so that God will provide them with understanding and insight to successfully approach their target audience.

The Olivet Assembly (OA) of Latin America online membership training program concluded gracefully in the month of April despite the ongoing virus epidemic. Several lectures regarding creation, sin and salvation through Jesus Christ were delivered.

The lectures gave members across Latin America the opportunity to learn more about the path of the cross and the love and faith within Jesus who carried that cross.

“Jesus sacrificed himself, suffered, and kept going despite the fact that death was before Him. However, He trusted His Father and His faith helped Him and allowed Him to keep going until the end. This is love, sacrifice, and obedience,” shared one member.

There were also lectures delivered on Romans centered on chapters one to three. The messages covered the reality of sin within mankind whether unbeliever or believer and the way for a sinner to become righteous before the eyes of God (Romans 1:17).

The series of lectures spanned two weeks and members from countries all over Latin America – from Mexico all the way to Argentina – participated.

In Peru Elizabeth and the young people have presented fasting every Wednesday praying for different topics and especially for the summer retreat. The services of the week have been with good participation, on Friday praying for the sick. On Saturday the young people dedicated a special time to rehearse the play to be presented during the retreat. In Sunday service, new families have come to participate in the church. The young people of Peru hope on Sunday August 25 to live a retreat of much blessing and with new people.

The members of Chile, together with Pastor Manuel, continue with constant evangelism, meeting new youth and families. A new study of the word of God was given to Brother Eliú, and especially this week a young man named Luis, after receiving the Bible study “The Image of God”, gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, he wishes to continue studying the Bible . With faith and hope, they continue to pray and work for this weekend’s retreat, to achieve new goals.

The members of Venezuela together with Manuel Duque, have prepared the next retreat with faith and much love, to bless the people who will arrive, working in evangelism, studying the word of God, visiting new brothers and working hard in the retreat. The Venezuelan church believes deeply in God for the healing of the whole country and a great revival in the life of every person who confesses Jesus Christ as their Lord.

AM Latin America, pray and work focused on young people, to awaken the continent in a revival of the Holy Spirit, to win a new generation of people with a heart prepared for God.
